How It Works
Developers write videos as React components, then render them with server-side or client-side rendering. Parameterization connects data and organizes assets so the same template can produce many videos, and batch rendering handles large volumes on your own infrastructure. For interactive work, Remotion Studio lets you drag and drop to edit and animate, then saves those changes back into the code.

Who is eligible for the Free License?
You are eligible to use Remotion for free if you are an individual (personal or commercial), an organization or team of up to 3 people, or a non-profit evaluating the software without using it commercially. Contact Remotion if you need confirmation of your use case.
Does the Free License have restrictions in functionality?
No. There is no difference in functionality between the Free License and the Company License.
What do I have to do to use the Free License?
If you are eligible, simply get started. You do not have to contact Remotion or sign up on remotion.pro to use the Free License.
Can single-person companies use the Free License?
Yes. Even if you are incorporated, you can operate under the Free License as long as your total headcount is 3 or less.
Can I make money under the Free License?
Yes. There is no difference between the Free License and Company License when it comes to commercial usage, aside from a couple of small commercial restrictions in place for everybody.
Can I run an automation under the Free License?
Yes. The Remotion for Automators plan only applies to the Company License. If you are eligible for the Free License, you can also run an automation.
