Workflow stages
8 stagesStart here: your source, audience and seven outputs
For solo creators, educators and small marketing teams with an existing video. Follow the stages in order; files and text are transferred manually between tools.
Start with a video you own or have permission to reuse. Choose a lesson, interview or tutorial with at least three useful standalone ideas. Keep the original file, video URL, intended audience and one clear message together. Suggested weekly output: 3 short videos, 1 carousel, 2 text posts and 1 quote graphic. Treat this as a target, not a quota: if the source contains only two strong moments, publish two strong clips. Core route: Descript → ChatGPT → Canva → Buffer. OpusClip is an optional alternative for the clipping stage. This Box describes a manual workflow, not an automatic integration. Tool plan limits and language support should be checked before committing to a subscription.
01 — Transcribe and prepare your source
Descript · Input: original video · Output: a corrected transcript with timestamps.
Upload the original recording to Descript and generate a transcript. Listen while checking names, numbers, technical terms and Hindi or English words that may be misheard. Keep timestamps alongside the text so later clip choices can be traced back to the recording. Save a corrected transcript and a short source brief: topic, audience, main takeaway and original URL. Do not rewrite the speaker's claims during transcription. Before moving on, check several passages against the audio, including any quotation you plan to reuse. Pass the corrected text and timestamps to the next stage.
02 — Find the ideas and draft your posts
ChatGPT · Input: corrected transcript and audience brief · Output: a clip shortlist, carousel outline and post drafts.
Paste the corrected transcript into ChatGPT with the audience and desired tone. Ask for a shortlist first; review it before generating every format. Give each short video one idea and make sure the viewer can understand it without watching the original. COPYABLE PROMPT: Using only the transcript below, suggest three standalone clips. For each, give the existing start/end timestamps, exact opening words, key takeaway and any context that must stay. Never invent timestamps or quotations; say unavailable if absent. Then draft a six-slide carousel outline, two distinct text posts and one exact quote suitable for a graphic. Audience: [AUDIENCE]. Tone: [TONE]. Preserve the speaker's meaning and flag claims needing verification. Transcript: [PASTE TRANSCRIPT]. Check every quote against the recording. Keep AI-written hooks separate from verbatim quotations. Save the approved clip shortlist and copy before continuing.
03 — Edit three standalone short videos
Use Descript first, or choose OpusClip as an alternative · Output: reviewed vertical clips with corrected captions.
Open the approved moments in Descript and trim each to one complete idea. Remove long pauses without removing essential qualifications. Reframe for a vertical canvas, keep faces and demonstrations visible, and correct the captions by listening to the audio. Preview on a phone before exporting. Choose OpusClip instead when you want AI-suggested highlights and automatic reframing. Upload your recording or use a supported source link, then review its suggestions against your shortlist. You do not need both tools for clipping. A highlight score is not evidence that a clip will perform well. Save clip-01, clip-02 and clip-03 with matching captions. Check the opening, ending, subject crop, subtitle placement, watermark and export quality. Check current processing allowances, supported languages and export conditions on your selected plan before a large batch.
04 — Design a carousel and a quote graphic
Canva · Input: approved carousel outline and exact quote · Output: one carousel and one quote graphic.
Turn the approved outline into a six-slide carousel: a clear promise on slide 1, one useful point per slide on slides 2–5, and a short recap or next action on slide 6. Keep type, spacing and colors consistent. Preview every slide at phone size and remove copy that needs zooming to read. For the quote graphic, use one sentence checked against the recording and credit the speaker. If the wording is a summary, label it as a takeaway rather than putting it in quotation marks. Export the carousel pages in their intended order and save the quote graphic separately. COPYABLE COPY-EDIT PROMPT: Shorten this approved carousel copy for six slides. Keep one idea per slide and preserve the source meaning. Do not add facts, statistics or testimonials. Return slide number, heading and body. Flag any statement that needs context rather than making it sound more certain. Copy: [PASTE APPROVED OUTLINE]. Handoff: ordered slide images, quote graphic, approved captions and descriptive alt-text drafts. Avoid premium elements unless your account includes the required access.
05 — Schedule seven posts across the week
Buffer · Input: approved media and copy · Output: a checked publishing queue with the correct account and timezone.
Upload the approved assets to Buffer and adapt the caption for each destination. Confirm the connected account, post format, timezone and preview. Check whether that account and format support automatic publishing or need a notification/manual step. Use your own audience data to choose times. Example sequence: Monday — clip 1 (the main lesson); Tuesday — carousel (the steps); Wednesday — text post 1 (a practical example); Thursday — clip 2 (a common mistake); Friday — quote graphic (a memorable line); Saturday — text post 2 (a question or checklist); Sunday — clip 3 (the next action). These are suggested slots, not seven mandatory posts on every platform. Keep each post useful by itself. Add the original video link where appropriate and check it opens correctly. After publication, record the source video, asset format and a few relevant results such as saves, replies, retention or clicks. Use those results to choose next week's source; do not treat views alone as success.
06 — Example: one design tutorial, seven useful posts
Illustrative example, not a tested case study. Replace the sample topic with your own recording.
Suppose your original video teaches beginners how to improve a landing page. Your transcript includes three distinct lessons: make the offer clear, use one primary action, and support claims with evidence. Select real moments from your recording for each lesson; do not invent demonstrations, quotes or results. The three clips can each explain one lesson. The carousel can show a landing-page review checklist. Text post 1 can explain an actual change shown in the tutorial; text post 2 can ask readers to inspect their own primary action. The quote graphic should use a real, checked sentence from the speaker. If no sentence works alone, make a clearly labelled takeaway graphic instead. The formats should offer different ways into the lesson. Do not paste the same summary into seven templates. Keep a simple asset record with the source timestamp, output filename, destination, caption, review status and scheduled date. This makes corrections easier if a source claim changes.
07 — Final checks and how these tools were selected
Review before scheduling. Capability research checked 26 October 2026; no hands-on performance benchmark is claimed.
Ready to publish?
- Source permission, quotations and factual claims have been checked.
- Each clip stands alone, with accurate captions, clear audio and a usable vertical crop.
- Carousel order, phone readability, quote attribution and image descriptions are reviewed.
- Destination account, timezone, links and automatic/manual publishing mode are correct.
- Current plan allowances, export watermarks, language support and asset access meet this batch's needs.
Selection method: tools were chosen for the jobs needed here—transcription and editing, adapting approved copy, visual design and scheduling. Existing Mazikbox listings were confirmed and official capability pages reviewed on 26 October 2026. This is an editorial workflow proposal, not a hands-on benchmark or a promise of reach, time saved or seven usable outputs from every video. No affiliate links are included in this workflow text. Start with the tools you already use. Descript can handle transcription and clipping, so OpusClip is optional. A smaller starter setup can use Descript and Canva, drafting copy and posting manually; add ChatGPT for writing assistance and Buffer when scheduling becomes useful.
