About SocketLabs

Overview

SocketLabs is an email delivery and analytics platform that helps businesses send, route, and analyze email. Founded in 2007, the company builds and maintains its own infrastructure, including the proprietary Hurricane MTA, to give senders control over deliverability, security, and performance. More than 100,000 senders trust the platform with over 1.6 billion messages each day.

Senders can deliver mail through ubiquitous SMTP or a high-performance Injection API, then turn raw delivery data from providers such as Mailgun, Bird, and SendGrid into expert-built reports and actionable insights. Configurable inbound pipelines and outbound routing give high-volume teams the control to segment traffic and manage risk, while AI-powered reporting helps them detect problems before they escalate.

Key Benefits

  • Native AI-powered reporting that surfaces quietly degrading performance issues early.
  • Automated monitoring with StreamMonitor that incorporates webhook data from other platforms.
  • Outbound pipelines with RuleEngine that direct, relay, or split traffic across multiple providers.
  • Subaccounts that segment senders and streams in high-volume, multi-tenant setups.
  • Both SMTP and Injection API options for flexible integration.
  • Engineer-led migration support that makes switching from other ESPs safe and structured.

How It Works

Sign up for a Core or Pro account, connect through SMTP or the Injection API, and start sending within minutes. Segment traffic with subaccounts and inbound connectors, then use RuleEngine to route delivery across direct, relay, or third-party paths. StreamMonitor and AI-powered reports turn delivery and webhook data into recommended actions that keep deliverability healthy.

Use Cases

  • High-volume and multi-tenant senders use subaccounts to segment senders and streams.
  • Teams migrating from other ESPs rely on structured, engineer-supported migration.
  • Enterprises split traffic across Mailgun, Bird, and SendGrid for redundancy and risk control.
  • Marketing and analytics teams use Spotlight to combine ESP data for a full performance picture.
  • Developers send through SMTP or the Injection API and consume event webhooks.

How does the free email trial work?

Once you create and verify your account, you get a Core plan for one month or a set amount of credits. No credit card is required, but you lose access to the platform and can no longer send mail at the end of the trial if you do not upgrade to a paid plan.

How does the free Spotlight Email Analytics trial work?

After signing up, you receive an account within five days or less. Once you get access, you can use all Spotlight Analytics features for 90 days or up to 1.5 million in volume per month.

How long does it take to get started?

With the API and SMTP options, you can sign up for a Core or Pro account, connect as needed, and start sending within a matter of minutes. Enterprise senders get the same simple setup once their account is provisioned.
