Placehold is a free image placeholder service for developers, designers, and content creators who need placeholder images during prototyping or development. It generates placeholder images in SVG, PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and AVIF formats at any specified size up to 4000x4000 pixels.

How It Works

You construct an image URL by appending dimensions to the base domain, such as https://placehold.co/600x400 for a 600x400 pixel image. The service returns the rendered image immediately in the browser. For retina displays, add @2x or @3x before the format extension.
