About Overflow

Overview

Overflow is a user flow diagramming tool for design teams. It brings design files from Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Photoshop into one canvas, where users build interactive user flow diagrams and design presentations. More than 500,000 designers and product managers trust the tool.

Overflow offers three views of the same design story: Canvas view for bird's-eye user flow diagrams, Prototype view for screen-by-screen interaction, and Story view for self-guided walkthroughs. Teams share work by publication link or embed so stakeholders can give feedback in real-time meetings or asynchronously.

Key Benefits

  • Sync designs from Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Photoshop and re-sync after each iteration cycle.
  • Build user flow diagrams with connectors, hotspots, shapes, and one-click device skins.
  • Present in Canvas, Prototype, or Story mode with keyboard shortcuts for smooth navigation.
  • Publish to the Overflow Cloud and share links that open without installing the app.
  • Invite teammates as editors and keep unlimited version history on every document.

How It Works

Users import designs from a connected design tool and arrange synced layers into flows by dragging connectors from any layer and adding hotspots and shapes. They then customize styles, annotations, and device skins, and organize work into multiple boards. Once complete, they publish the document to the Overflow Cloud, share a link or embed it, and collect comments from reviewers anywhere on the document.

Use Cases

  • Product designers map multi-step user journeys, decision trees, and conditional flows for complex products.
  • UX teams share self-guided walkthroughs so stakeholders explore work at their own pace without meetings.
  • Product managers keep teams aligned by organizing work in shared folders and embedded documents.
  • Design leads collect stakeholder feedback and filter comments by version to track how opinions evolve.
  • Freelance and agency designers deliver polished client presentations with branded styles and PNG or PDF exports.

Why Choose This Product

Overflow works as a companion to existing design tools: it preserves original layers and prototyping links on sync, and it keeps source files intact. Publications play on any device and recipients do not need the Overflow app, which lowers the barrier for stakeholder review. The Pro plan starts at 1GB cloud storage per user, with Enterprise adding SSO/SAML and advanced security permissions.
