About Fusion — One platform for design and code
Overview
Fusion is a visual IDE that lets product teams build apps, features, and prototypes directly in their existing codebase. It connects to your design system, APIs, and Git workflow so every change fits your stack instead of living in a disconnected sandbox.
Designed for engineers, designers, marketers, and product managers who need to collaborate on real code, Fusion bridges the gap between design and development by generating code-aware UI and routing all work through approved pull requests.
Key Benefits
- Teams report up to 20% increased development capacity by diverting budget from maintenance to strategic initiatives.
- New pages ship in minutes instead of days — one customer launched over 250 new pages attracting one million monthly visitors.
- Teams achieve 2× faster time to market for new features and experiences.
- One customer launched 100+ personalized homepages in a single month without relying solely on engineering.
- Engineering teams save over 160 hours per sprint by reducing manual code work.
- One team moved from design to live deployment in a single day.
How It Works
You start from your repository, connecting your design system and APIs. You then begin work from a prompt, a Figma design, or a branch from Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex — instead of starting over, you continue building inside Fusion.
Designers refine UI visually, marketers edit copy, and product managers leave feedback on the same branch your engineers use. Approved changes become pull requests and move through your existing pipeline, with Fusion connecting to internal Git, registries, and APIs behind a firewall.
Use Cases
- App development teams building web apps, internal tools, dashboards, and production UI with the code context needed to fit their existing stack.
- Design and engineering teams closing the gap between Figma designs and responsive UI by reviewing, refining, and shipping together using shared components and tokens.
- Product managers and marketers prototyping ideas in working code — turning prompts or early designs into interactive prototypes the team can test and share.
- Prototyping teams creating interactive prototypes from prompts, briefs, or early designs without losing the path to production.
- Enterprise organizations connecting Fusion behind a firewall to internal Git, registries, and APIs over a private link.
Why Choose This Product
Fusion is best suited for product teams shipping at scale who want a single platform where design and engineering collaborate on real code. It requires existing frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, or Angular, and is most valuable for teams that already maintain a design system and use Git-based source control.
Fusion — One platform for design and code Pros & Cons
- Connects to existing Git workflow (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
- Runs with React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, and Angular frameworks
- Free tier available for individual exploration
- Behind-firewall deployment option with private link
- Integration with AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex)

Frequently asked questions about Fusion — One platform for design and code
What's the difference between Fusion and Publish?
Fusion enables product, design, and development teams to generate, iterate, and ship enterprise-ready web apps using your design system and codebase with full visual control. Publish allows marketing and content teams to generate, visually iterate, and optimize web and app experiences with AI and a drag-and-drop visual editor.
Can I use both Fusion and Publish together?
Yes. Components created in Fusion can be used as part of your design system in Publish. Content created in Publish can be pulled into apps and UIs built in Fusion. Fusion accelerates and democratizes code development, while Publish is used for content.
What is an Agent credit?
An Agent credit is Builder's unified usage metric for generative AI operations across the Builder platform. Each Agent credit represents a fixed dollar value that covers underlying model costs plus Builder's service margin.
What if I need more Agent credits?
On the Free plan, you get 15 Agent credits per day with a total limit of 60 Agent credits per month. On paid plans, you can purchase on-demand Agent credits at $25 per 500 credits.
