What data does MapGrid include?
MapGrid includes parcel data across 17 states and Washington, DC, and growing; 30+ regulatory overlays — FEMA flood zones and EPA site data nationwide, plus state programs such as wetlands and cleanup registers in the states that publish them; environmental risk scoring from EPA and state databases; and a tax sale calendar aggregating county sales.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The Explorer tier is free forever with 10 parcel lookups per day, Tax Sale Calendar access, FEMA Flood Zone overlay, and 1 saved project. No credit card required.
How often is the data updated?
Parcel data is scheduled to refresh weekly from state GIS services. Environmental sites refresh monthly from EPA and state databases. Regulatory overlays (wetlands, flood zones) refresh monthly. Tax sale listings are scraped weekly from county open-data sources. These are target cadences, not guarantees — a source can fall behind when its upstream GIS service changes.
